“Custody” is a Tamil action drama that revolves around Constable Shiva, played by Naga Chaitanya, who must protect a valuable witness, Raju (Arvind Swami), from those seeking to kill him. Directed by Venkat Prabhu, the film delves into the personal struggles of Shiva and the challenges he faces while safeguarding Raju.

Certain scenes seem disconnected from the main plot, and IG Natraj’s repetitive sequences don’t contribute significantly. Raju’s character remains on the surface, as Venkat Prabhu primarily focuses on Shiva.

Technical Brilliance:

“Custody” excels in its action sequences, choreographed by Mahesh Mathew. Notably, a single-take action scene in a police station and another in an open ground stand out. The dialogues by Abburi Ravi, along with the background scores by Ilaiyaraaja and Yuvan Shankar Raja, enhance the film’s overall experience. SR Kathir’s cinematography effectively complements the movie.

Talented Cast:

The film boasts a talented cast, with Naga Chaitanya, Krithi Shetty, and Arvind Swami delivering commendable performances. Goparaju Ramana, Priyamani, and Ramki also shine in their respective roles. The trio of Chaitanya, Shetty, and Swami shoulders the movie well and keeps the audience invested. The remix of “Jagada Jagada” during the end credits is attention-grabbing.
